Flowers in the morning!

Tuesday, January 21st, in the morning, the group attended a workshop at the Community Centre where they learned how to make paper flowers, helped by the crafters Céu Militão and Cristina Pêpê. They learned about the history and evolution of the People’s Festival, a candidate for UNESCO humanity’s intangible heritage. At the same time, a group of students came together to draft a joint letter about the environment which will be handed out to a Member of the European Union.

All the participants tried to make a paper flower traditionally and they could see how hard it is and how difficult it must be to decorate all the village’s streets with paper flowers.
It was a great relaxing moment before meeting the countryside and its wild nature!
